Students of our major participated in the 6th Tanpopo Project

Four students of our major (Health Sciences) participated in the 6th Tanpopo Project (March 15–17, 2026), a program for learning about Fukushima today, after the Great East Japan Earthquake and the accident at TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
The students had a very valuable experience that can only be gained on site, such as learning about the state of reconstruction in Fukushima and visiting the Interim Storage Facility.
These issues had seldom been on their minds in Fukuoka, far away from Fukushima, and the program became an opportunity for the participating students to change their awareness significantly.
